Ooooo What A House - I wish I was Erica!

Often I am asked "Annie - whats your favourite movie?"

One always springs to mind and its not just because the story is funny and enjoyable - but mostly due to my love affair with the "home of Erica Barry" from the move Somethings Gotta Give.

Ooooo that kitchen - the dining room - the couch that Harry (Jack Nicholson) lies on and the library in Erica's room.......I want it all......

Loving Blue

Husband and I have had the same bedroom colour scheme for around 3 years now - Red & White.

This includes bringing the red and white colour scheme from our home in Point Cook to the post office residence - you think I would have changed this last year - but alas we had bigger and better things to do!

In the last week I have decided that I NOW need to have a change - it could have something to do with the changing of the seasons here - Autumn lasted 2 weeks - we are now in the depths of Winter in the Snowies and I'm not joking - WE'VE HAD SNOW FALL @ PERISHER THIS WEEK!!!

So I passed a blue and white colour scheme via Husband and he agreed - its time for a change.

I can see stripes, florals, blue and white plates on the wall, lovely white blooms next to the bed....

I'm finding inspiration from these photos....

Addicted To.....

Stripes!!

Most of my clothes incorporate stripes - in traditional navy blue and white!!

In fact - my fav local store - Birdsnest -  is so aware of my stripe addiction that they stear me away from stripes in a hope that I might by something different - their good intentions never work!!

So last night I sat and looked around the post office residence and YES - I have been inspired to add some stripes - these following pictures have inspired my idea even further!

Our office/study - the creating begins

When we first moved into the post office residence there was a reasonable amount of room for our desk to be placed.

This happened 8 months ago, and ever since has been the dumping ground of everything - from work papers, to old wine boxes to dog toys.

Last week though I was inspired to create a workstation where we both could work and enjoy so yesterday I bought some decorative architrave, black board paint and a small pot of white paint to start the transformation.

I hope that these photos will insprire me to create a relaxing and studious place for us to use.
