So today the first "unofficial" royal family photos featuring Prince George have been leaked a few hours early via Twitter.
All I can say though is "what a stunning young family" and I'm glad we get to see such natural photos of the young royal family.
The photos were taken at Katherine's family home in Bucklebury by her father Michael and also feature the Middleton family dog, Tilly and Will & Katherine's dog Lupo - so it really was a family affair!!

Why Patrick?
Yes Ch10 - why Patrick????
Last night in living rooms all over Australia people were bawling their eyes out with the death of much loved Offspring character Patrick :( Ooooooooo the humanity.
I didn't think for a second that they would kill off the father of Nina's unborn child but then it hit me, they will never let the slightly zany character enjoy a fulfilling life long love - the story lines for Nina would probably become boringly normal and the show would more than likely end.
I was hoping that they might kill off Billie - whilst I love Kat Stewart - the character of Billie has gone so off the chart that I cant stand it when she pops up on the television screen and have been channel surfing until she has disappeared.
So how did you fair emotionally last night?
Me - I was a blubbering mess, hyperventilating as Nina drove down Brunswick Street to the nearest hospital - it was a moment in TV I shunt forget in a while.
So I hope all of you that are as devoted to Offspring as I, can move on to next weeks episode with the promise of a little piece of Patrick sitting at Nina's bedside after the birth of their new baby.

RIP Mother Margaret
Losing a parent is never easy and last Sunday (28th July) my beloved husbands mum passed away.
Although struggling after a fall 6 months ago, her health was ok and her passing was still sudden & certainly none of us were prepared for.
Thankfully husband and I found her, and whilst this was something I hope know one has to go through, I was grateful that it was us that found her and not her elder sister - that's something I fear Nancy would never have gotten over.
It has been a week of tears, tantrums, family reunions, dinners at the pub, loads of fresh flowers and cups of tea filling & spilling in the post office.
We have been moved by the generosity of those around us and those that may not be close to us but loved his mother dearly - this gets you through - the kind words of a stranger retelling stories of a mum passed.
I have mostly found a deep sadness knowing that "Baby Bean" is not going to meet his Grandma but she had already had some gifts put aside and these will be cherished.
We continue to try to run the post office amongst our grief, after all, the post stops for no one, not even a beloved mum, mum in law or grandma.
We will forever miss you Mother Margaret and hope that you have been reunited with your two knights in shining armour.

The other important baby of 2013
has arrived and is mighty cute!!
Congratulations to William and Catherine on the safe arrival of the Royal Baby.
I must admit on Monday night when I knew of Kate being in labour a big part of me was so worried for her - first baby - all that pressure & myself going through that later this year, but without the worlds media outside the hospital in Canberra!!
Waking to hear that she was well and had delivered a healthy 8 pound baby boy was as much a relief as it was very exciting.
And then to top it all off, getting to see our wee little Prince of Cambridge earlier today was wonderful and to see two such lovely people become parents was, well, lovely!!
So we only have 3 months to go before we too join the Royal ranks and give our little town their very own Royal baby!!

Waiting for the Royal Baby v The Post Office Baby!!
and when I say that I am not implying that MY expectant bub is the royal bub!!
Poor Kate & William, two weeks out from the "Due Date" and journalists have already started jostling for positions and buying every ladder in London in a hope of getting the best & first pics of Kate arriving at the hospital.
Personally I hope she has access to a secret entrance and does not have to enter the hospital in the public eye - it will be bad enough when husband and I make our entrance to Canberra Hospital in mid November - I seriously can not imagine having my pic in magazines and newspapers as I make my arrival and might I add probably looking a bit worse for wear.
Being a first time mum like Kate, I can only imagine what is before us, but unlike Kate, I only have the townsfolk here in Berridale eagerly awaiting the arrival of the Post Office baby!!

Does your couch need a freshin up?
Why not just add some funky new cushions to add a bit of life and colour to your comfy old couch.
During the weekend I decided our couch needed a new hit of colour as the past two years she has had red cushions, patterned red cushions and dog blankets keeping her company, but I found some funky on trend cushion covers on eBay on the weekend and they are now on their way.
Flicking through the latest copy of my style bible, Real Living magazine, it appears that they most drab and boring of couches can look instantly hip and on trend with the addition of a few new cushion covers.
And lets face it, its a whole lot cheaper to buy a few covers to make your lounge room look fresh without the need to buy a new couch.

Who's having a baby?
I am!!
After trying unsuccessfully for 4 years to get pregnant (frustrating and costly) husband and I are happy to announce that we are finally getting our greatest wish!
I've had a fair bit of surgery over the past 6 months and the laproscopy that I had been asking for (for those 4 years - Dr's don't listen) finally did its thing and cleared my tubes enough to get a swimmer through.
I won't lie, the "morning sickness" (this term needs to be well and truly put on the shelf and renamed "All day sickness") has been rough and I'm in bed most days as soon as I clock off at the post office - I love sleeping so this part is nice for me.
So we are due at the beginning of November and I've been told that this is a blessing as "you don't want to be pregnant in summer"!! After all the trouble we have had I really wouldn't care when "Bean" is due.
So for a while my little blog will be filled with baby news and my hopes and dream for him/her - I've already signed them up for Collingwood membership!! LOL and much to husbands horror!!

Instagram Fav's
I love Instagram and each day I load a new photo or two for my followers.
Most of the images are those I have taken around our house or the local area - I love vintage inspired shots and try my best to bring these to life.
Here are a couple of my fav's of the last month or so......

Are you feeling the love?
So today is Valentines Day!
Have you received anything yet??
Well I sit on the fence with this day - I don't dislike it BUT I do have issues with people thinking that they have to buy their loved one a gift and spending too much money!
Husband will come home today with flowers & I will make him a card - and that's about it.
People say "its so commercialised" and I tend to agree - it appears that the "American" factor does play a part in people thinking that they have to do some over the top declaration of their love on this day WHEN if fact you should do it every day.
So today - do what you feel YOU need to do - if its nothing, fine, if you want to spend a gazillion amount of money on 2 red roses, fine but remember that having someone to love and to love you back today is the greatest gift you can get!

New obsession
is looking like Coffee Sacks!
I love a local coffee shops Skinny Latte's and have been known to drive into town just to grab one and come back - its about a 40km round trip but so worth it......hang on - sidetracked.....
Yes - coffee sacks - so when I was getting a coffee on Saturday morning I was that the owner was selling her emptied coffee sacks for $5 each and I grabbed a handful.
Whilst I still have no idea what on earth I am going to create with them, Pinterest is filled with great ideas and I can see atm three old chairs that are in desperate need for an Annie makeover and probably going to be meeting a coffee sack soon.
So these are some of the chair idea's that have sparkled the arts n crafts bug in me & I'm headed to making some vintaged styled delights ......

Finding it impossible to ..........
sit still and let myself heal.
Last Friday I had an operation in Canberra and have been finding it difficult to remember how to sit, sleep and rest so I could be in the Post Office today.
My operation was a success but has now led me to have another soon - it's a private matter, and I am ok, but the reason for my post is for me to sort through the anxiety of knowing how to relax & who on earth can sit and watch the crap that is on TV during the day - UGH!!!!
I'm someone that needs to keep busy - a tiny bit OCD - a real clean freak & this week I have found that dear Husband has the skills needed to keep our little house and post office running smoothly.........
I'd like to send out a big shout out to him - you did well deary - very proud of you :)

Camping - I survived........
just!!
So it rained a bit on the coast but overall the first camp in the tent was pretty good.
We had a great spot - near the camp kitchem but a tad too far from the amenities block for those midnight toot runs and our neighbours (mostly from Victoria) were friendly and mostly quiet!!
The 3 Jack Russells had a ball - played at the beach, enjoyed their walks and seemed to get along well together in the small confines of the Tent Hilton.
On reflection I have said to Dear Husband that we need to buy a proper camping kitchen to store food and electronics to keep little ants at bay!!
So will I camp again - I expect so - as long as I have a flat camp site, access to hot and cold water and a flushing toot - you might see me at a camp ground near you soon!!

Before I disappear on my Australia Day camping trip - I thought I'd share with you one of my boards off Pinterest.
Slightly addicted to this site - gathering beautiful images and sticking them on my boards - I've found that I certainly have eclectic taste, its appears that vintage, flirty with a dash of modern industrial are the things that I love most.
Check out my boards here and let me know what you think

Australia Day & we are going.....
Camping!!
I hate camping BUT this year I decided to take one for the team and suggested to dear Husband that we go to Eden and stay in our tent.
Now our tent is pretty good - two big rooms, you can stand up and has been referred to as the Tent Hilton!!
Last year we spent a few days in the tent Glamping not Camping - iPod Dock, Queen Size innerspring mattress, electricty, hot & cold running water - BUT not this time - we will have a powered site but tonight I am going to attempt to sleep on an air bed!!
This could all go pear shaped very quickly but I'm going to give it my best shot.
The list is getting drawn up today at work so we dont leave anything behind, most importantly packing the three Jack Russell's things seems to be taking priority and there will most certainly be no room in the Subaru XV for any of my essentials, eg hair dryer, hair straightener - you know - girlie things.
I'll let you all know how it pans out!!
O yeah - and everyone - ENJOY AUSTRALIA DAY!! Oi Oi Oi!!
