Ooooo What A House - I wish I was Erica!

Often I am asked "Annie - whats your favourite movie?"

One always springs to mind and its not just because the story is funny and enjoyable - but mostly due to my love affair with the "home of Erica Barry" from the move Somethings Gotta Give.

Ooooo that kitchen - the dining room - the couch that Harry (Jack Nicholson) lies on and the library in Erica's room.......I want it all......

Home Library.....seems to becoming back in vogue

A customer came into the Post Office today and exclaimed with much delight and relief "Annie, I've finally finished the library!"

To which I thought -

1. Well you have an awful lot of money 
2. I'm sure it is quite exquisite 
3. I'm dying for a look

Which got me thinking about me having a home library.

A few of the ladies that I follow on their blogs have incorporated a home library into their homes, either sharing space in a room or standing alone as a peaceful and creative space.

I don't think husband will allow me to have "another unused room" in My White Homestead but a girl can dream and maybe I can incorporate a little space for my book collection to feel like a grand home library.

I love the look of a built-in bookcase rather than a standalone - what do you think looks better?
