Soooooo excited!

This time tomorrow I will be absolutely beside myself with excitement and anticipation and wearing a tiara in the post office!!

Why?? I hear you ask.

Well after months of waiting Royal Wedding fever will finally hit fever pitch at the post office residence when my little village gets together to watch the wedding of the century!

The invitations were sent out months ago, the husband has been sent to the pub for the night, the food is ready, champers in the fridge chilling and all we need now is for the clocks to chime in at 7.30pm to finally see that dress!

The residence will be decked out in red, white and blue, Union Jacks flying and pictures of Kate and William will be everywhere!

So here's cheers to a glorious spectacle and I hope you are all as excited as I and my little village!

Garden Art - Snowy Mountains Style

One of my closest friends in the Snowy Mountains has created these garden art arches at her families property.

Scraps of old metal, wire, tools and horse shoes have been placed on an old garden archway to enhance their garden path.

"Glenelm" is a wonderful garden and they will be holding an open garden in November and I can't wait.

It just goes to show that there is something to be loved from almost anything....

The changing of the Seasons

Autumn and Winter in the Snowy Mountains are just so spectacular.

From the snow topped mountains in the depths of winter to the stunning colour show of the poplar trees that line the highways and streets in Autumn.

This silver birch outside the post office has been providing me with my Autumn colour spectacular and I just had to share it with you all.

It's very cold here today....winter and the snow are on her way!

Ooooo What A House - I wish I was Erica!

Often I am asked "Annie - whats your favourite movie?"

One always springs to mind and its not just because the story is funny and enjoyable - but mostly due to my love affair with the "home of Erica Barry" from the move Somethings Gotta Give.

Ooooo that kitchen - the dining room - the couch that Harry (Jack Nicholson) lies on and the library in Erica's room.......I want it all......

Loving Blue

Husband and I have had the same bedroom colour scheme for around 3 years now - Red & White.

This includes bringing the red and white colour scheme from our home in Point Cook to the post office residence - you think I would have changed this last year - but alas we had bigger and better things to do!

In the last week I have decided that I NOW need to have a change - it could have something to do with the changing of the seasons here - Autumn lasted 2 weeks - we are now in the depths of Winter in the Snowies and I'm not joking - WE'VE HAD SNOW FALL @ PERISHER THIS WEEK!!!

So I passed a blue and white colour scheme via Husband and he agreed - its time for a change.

I can see stripes, florals, blue and white plates on the wall, lovely white blooms next to the bed....

I'm finding inspiration from these photos....

I'm Back!

Over the last few weeks I have been busily organising an event that I have founded here in my little town.

It was to celebrate the success of the local female business community and on Saturday night - the big night was a massive success.

I was lucky enough to secure the services of TODAY show nutritionist Dr Joanna McMillan and she was just fabulous.

The inaugural business woman of the year was also announced and went to long serving hair dresser Amanda "Mandy" Woodhouse.

Here are a couple of photos of the night and I look forward to planning another event in 2013!
